ST. PETER BAND

The band program at St. Peter is open to students in 4th through 8th grade.  St. Peter has 3 levels of bands, group lessons, solo contest preparation as well as curriculum development for a two day per week program.  

4TH-8TH BAND: If your child has not signed up via our music website at www.MusicArtsBand.com/17569, it’s not too late! Just go to the site, choose their instrument, and register. Band Director will be in touch shortly thereafter.

Questions about where to get an instrument or what supplies your child will need can be found on the same website. 

We are excited about returning to St. Peter School. Our recruitment program begins with an Instrument Demonstration Concert followed by Instrument Fittings as described below.  No experience is necessary to join. Students are eligible for band beginning in 4th grade.  

Demonstration Concert: Tuesday, August 26, 2025, 8:00 am – 8:30 am

The Demonstration Concert includes a half hour assembly performance by a professional trio for all students in 4th and 5th grades.  Interested older students may also be invited. 

Fittings: Thursday, August 28, 2025, 8:00 am – 8:45 am

All students in 4th & 5th grades will have the opportunity to try a few instruments to determine their interests, natural ability, and match his or her interests to an appropriate instrument.  This process is done one classroom at a time with each classroom taking about 25-30 minutes.

Registration: On-line Information about the registration process will be sent home following each event.
